A resounding echo from Dato Dr Ong Eng Leong's touching response. From a question he asked to reflection how a simple inquiry became a deep conversation on Life.

My dear Prof Dr JB Lim,
I don't have adequate words to thank you. Your article was more than an answer—it was a gift. I will keep it and return to it.
I wrote to you with a question about death, but you answered with a reflection on life—and that was exactly what I needed. Thank you for sharing this deeply reflective article. It is a beautiful, sincere, and carefully composed piece of writing. I have read it several times now, and I keep returning to this sentence:
"Perhaps the greatest question for me is not simply, 'Where will my soul go?' but also, 'What part of my soul am I leaving behind today?'"
Your image of a candle lighting another candle without being diminished has stayed with me. I find myself thinking of people I have lost—not as gone, but as flames that now burn in me. The same flames will burn when I am
gone. That is a profound comfort.
My eyes tear when I read
"My hope is not that I will return again and again, but that God, who gave life, will also preserve it beyond death"
You have written something that will linger in my mind long after they finish. That itself is evidence of what you describe: a life that continues through words.
“wisdom flows from one life to another"-we are conduits and not reservoirs.
