The Evolution of Humanoid Robots

GOD

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth (as food for him)

 (Genesis 1:26)

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

 (Genesis 2:7)

 MAN

Let us make robots in our image. And so man took metals and wires and made him into a humanoid.

But he could not breathe into his nostrils to make him a living soul.

I wrote an article a few hours ago on:

On Artificial Intelligence and Robots. Will They Override Humanity?

 https://scientificlogic.blogspot.com/2024/

There somewhere towards the end, I mentioned these robots are “alive” but without a soul. Earth shall be a world dominated by soulless robots.

But what is more terrifying is that they do not depend on the materials we need, and they never die. Allow me to explain this just a tiny little bit further.

These robots, unlike us and other animals, including the plants, never die as they do not require food and nutrition. They are not chemically driven with biochemistry that need air, food and water. They require only electricity as they are highly intelligent machines controlled by super computers with super brains. They can easily get their electricity from the Sun’s energy. They are so awesomely intelligent that without even the Sun they can find ways of breaking down the bonds of hydrogen and oxygen in water and burning back the hydrogen with the oxygen to  get energy and electricity, and to get back the water again in such a way that they can get far more energy than initially stored in the water. They will have all the waters in all the oceans, seas, rains, polar ice at their disposal. They need only electricity, not oxygen and food, or even water for living except for energy.

One method of getting endless energy from water has been suggested by me here:

An Unending Source of Energy from The Ocean:

https://scientificlogic.blogspot.com/search?q=endless+energy

These robots may find even better ways of getting energy than I could think. I gave a simple example how the Kuala Lumpur Hospital robotic floor cleaning was able to automatically go back to its recharging place to recharge itself without human help.

Furthermore, these robots without a soul inside their bodies, and without need for water, it will enable them to live forever, not just on Earth, but  on any suitable planet they wish to venture out on. Without food, water or any oxygen, they can easily survive extremely long interstellar journeys to a distant star billion of light away to colonize other worlds as well.

But for mortal human beings we need air, water and food, and for this, even on Earth itself, we need food production through agriculture that in turn requires fertilizers, pesticides, weedicides, among other chemicals. These chemicals come mainly from petrochemicals, gas and oil that would run out one day especially with increasing population. We cannot sustain their usage any longer based on current agricultural practices unless we source agricultural chemicals from other sources such as from mined minerals like phosphate rock or through biological processes. Even these will run out one day. Reliance on petroleum-based inputs raises several sustainability concerns. Apart from the finite nature of fossil fuel reserves, there are also environmental and health implications associated with the use of these chemicals. For example, runoff from fields treated with chemical fertilizers and pesticides can contaminate water sources and harm ecosystems.

Additionally, the production and transportation of these chemicals contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and other forms of pollution. There is growing recognition of the need to shift towards more sustainable agricultural practices. This includes reducing reliance on synthetic chemicals and promoting organic farming methods, integrated pest management (IPM), and agroecological approaches. These methods prioritize soil health, biodiversity, and ecosystem resilience, often reducing the need for chemical inputs while maintaining or increasing yields.

Of course, our ingenuity for scientific research and innovation play a crucial role in developing alternative solutions to conventional chemical inputs. This includes the development of bio-based fertilizers and pesticides, precision agriculture techniques to optimize resource use, and genetic engineering for crop varieties with built-in resistance to pests and diseases. Efforts are also being made to improve the efficiency of fertilizer and pesticide use through better application methods and timing, as well as through the recycling of nutrients from organic waste and agricultural byproducts.

While the transition away from reliance on petrochemical-based inputs may present challenges, there are numerous opportunities and strategies available to enhance the sustainability and resilience of food production systems. This transition requires collaboration among governments, researchers, farmers, and consumers to promote practices that prioritize long-term environmental and societal well-being.

However, these sustainability strategies are applicable only for us humans, but not for other animals or these self-designed robots. I need to emphasize again they don’t run on any chemistry or biochemistry or any biological system that depends on food and agriculture.

Food too was once living either as animals or plants, till we kill and sacrifice it as food to transfer its life into ours. We cannot eat sand, stones, mud, cement and concrete or metal as food that never had life into them. In other words, a life has been transferred into another like the flame of a lamp to another unlit lamb. That's why I spend some time writing about food here for us to understand better that we can never make robotic humanoids a living soul as it does not require food.

The Mystery of Life: An Unmeasurable Vital Force

https://scientificlogic.blogspot.com/search?q=life+mysteries

In essence, besides air and water, food is solely the only ingredient that can support life. Completely and totally nothing else matters. We can own all the kingdoms and all the wealth and fortunes of this world, but without food we shall but surely die. Be very thankful for every spoonful of food we put into our mouth daily. Give this thanksgiving to God who provides. Without agriculture and food security to support a horrendously increasing mass of humanity, with depleting agricultural chemicals, gas and oil, diminishing land for food production and supply, humankind will but surely die en masse. We shall be replaced by robots that require neither air, food nor water.

These robots can be designed to look like humans, males and females. We can dress them up as males and females, and design them to talk in voices that sounds like human males or females. We shall call them - humanoid robots.

But they are actually physical machines. If we undress a humanoid robot, we will see they are not made of flesh and blood, but a complex system of moving metal, plastic, rubber and other parts.

These machines can be programmed to carry out tasks autonomously or semi-autonomously like as if they are humans.

Some robots may incorporate supercomputing capabilities for certain tasks, but not all robots are equipped with supercomputers technology.  However, robots can incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to enable them to perceive their environment, make decisions, and adapt to changing circumstances. They can simulate human intelligence and they can be implemented in various forms, including software algorithms running on traditional computers, specialized AI hardware, or even distributed across networks of computers. AI can be integrated into robots to enable them to perform tasks that require perception, decision-making, learning, and interaction with their environment. These features made them look like having human behaviour, except they do not have a soul, and they don’t die as they are not based on some living chemistry or biological system

Having said all that, as long as humans are around, we are a living chemistry that requires food and water as already explained in some detail, and a living ecosystem for our own sustainability.

Unfortunately, nothing in the natural world can be sustained as long as we exist. Finally, when all natural resources we depend and thrive on are depleted, we perish.

But humanoid robots, though they are look “alive” they are not living souls. They run entirely on pure energy, namely electricity for which the Sun can sustain them for at least another 5 billion years. After the hydrogen runs out, there will still be a period of 2-3 billion years whereby the sun will go through the phases of star death before the entire Solar System will plunge into eternal darkness. Even then that may not be the end for these soulless humanoids. They will use unlimited renewable energy from our vast oceans as already mentioned, or they may journey out into the vastness of space to tap energy from other stars or oceans of waters, Finally, they will be lords of the entire Universe, possibility control other water-dependent living beings out there in other worlds as well.

This vision may sound like a science fiction to others, but not to a trained scientist in medical research. This vision makes sense and is scientifically logical to him.
