Iodine-based throat sprays 3 times a day to "kill" Covid-19 viruses?

 

I received this claim from friends in my WhatsApp chat group seeking my opnion:

My comment here:

 

I think people are now getting very desperate trying to look for any cure for Covid including asking people to spray povidone-iodine into their throats three times a day.

Iodine is a poison and should not be sprayed indiscriminately into sensitive areas like the throat, eyes, nose, or where the pharynx or airways are located. That’s my view.

 

Side effects using iodine-based medicines include skin irritation and often inflammatory response. If used on large wounds, it may result in hypertension and cause the kidneys to fail, besides causing metabolic acidosis.

 

It is also not recommended in pregnant women or those taking lithium. Those with hyperthyroidism or a hyperactive thyroid, the use of iodine sprays on sensitive mucosa is contraindicated.

 

Povidone-iodine is a chemical complex of povidone, hydrogen iodide, and elemental iodine. It contains 10% Povidone, with total iodine species equaling 10,000 ppm or 1% total titratable iodine. It works by releasing iodine to destroy bacterial pathogens.  

Spraying the throat with any iodine solutions is not normally advisable or practiced because the pharynx is a common area where the trachea leading to the airways and lungs is, and also into the esophagus then into the stomach

Once we spray tincture of iodine or povidone-iodine or any alcoholic solution of iodine into the pharynx, the iodine-based vapor will inadvertently enter both into the lungs and stomach

On entry into the airways and lungs the solution will decompose and deposit insoluble iodine crystals into them probably may cause iodine-induced pulmonary fibrosis and other effects unknown to us together with the Covid-19 virus which is also inhaled.

 

Tincture of iodine and provolone iodine are normally used against bacterial infections for wounds and cuts, and it has never been used against viruses

I think we will just unnecessary damage the lungs literally by spraying and inhaling iodine 3 times a day for unlimited period

Not just that alone. Iodine in alcohol or combined with organic compounds,  like chlorine and fluorine  is a powerful oxidizing agent by realizing free radicals  to kill bacteria and pathogenic organisms, but we are unsure about  viruses that are actually non-living protein particles.  That’s why tincture of iodine or provolone iodine in solutions is used for wounds.

 

Furthermore iodine solutions and sprays may have a damaging effect on sensitive mucosa lining on the throat and into the entire airways, and into the lungs due to its astringent and free-radical effect. Why do they want to damage the lungs further when this virus is also attacking it?

If they want to do use all these poisonous agents, they might as well spray the throat with dilute solutions of hydrogen peroxides

 

 But the safest is to inhale pure warm steam with mixture of natural anti viral aromatic oils added into the hot water, and then fortify the pulmonary system with vitamin C and cod liver oil containing vitamin A and D.

 

These vitamins especially retinol (vitamin A) will increase the ciliary sweep of any dust, mucous as well as Covid virus out from the airways into the stomach where the virus is destroyed by the powerful gastric juice, and then into the intestines where further action by proteolytic enzymes will digest the protein spike of the virus.

The bronchi in the lungs are lined with hair-like projections called cilia that sweep bacteria and viruses and debris upwards and out of the airways. These cilia have goblet cells that secrete sticky mucus to protect the lining of the bronchus by trapping bacteria, viruses and dusts.

 

Steam inhalation using anti-viral oils added into the boiling water is a much safer and more effective method than spraying iodine solutions into the throat that will then find their way into the lungs.  

I do not think this is the way to get rid of Covid. I really think researchers, doctors and scientists are teaching the desperate public not only the wrong approach, but also an unsafe practice.

 

These iodine-organic complexes will finally decompose leaving behind crystalline iodine into the lungs and this may cause iodine-induced pulmonary fibrosis over a long period

I think people are now very desperate how to deal with the Covid virus. They are now coming up with all kinds of concoctions to "kill" this virus that was purposely put here to get rid of us and our overpopulation

Believe me we have lost our directions. Researchers, scientists and doctors may have a lot of knowledge, but I think they lack wisdom. They are literally blind to reality.

Wisdom is a gift given to by our Creator that cannot be acquired by learning in any university. A university can give us a lot of knowledge, but never wisdom. Both are totally different qualities

 

The public also believe in drug and vaccines produced by companies that brain wash them about their products such as using iodine sprays to "kill" the corona virus inside the throat

Trust me. I do not write this from my own strength.  I am nothing without Him guiding me.

 

The problem with scientists and doctors is that they do not realize they have been used by the Intelligent Designer who is far, far, far, far more advanced and intelligent than them.

                                  

He gave them a thinking brain to acquire scientific knowledge (not wisdom) in a university to think how to invent drugs and vaccines to destroy themselves and finally the entire human race.

 

This will help the Creator to fulfill His decree on Earth by accelerating the decimation of the world population by a third periodically with their "brainy" products.

 

Their brains have been deliberately programmed without them realizing it. But they think they are smarter than the Intelligent Designer by fighting with Him. But they have been used by Him for the purpose of destroying themselves.

Additionally, their brains have also been washed by drug companies to  prescribe  all kinds of "fantastic" drugs, and vaccines and to use all sorts of concoctions

They only think they are fighting with a virus, but they don't realize their brains have been used and programmed to destroy themselves

Trust me I have been unknowingly led to learn two very relevant courses in evolutionary biology and evolutionary medicine and later into astrobiology to understand this, just in time before this pandemic so that I can write to convey this message.

All this while they have been living like a frog-in-a-well looking high and low for the origin of this virus, blaming the Chinese in Wuhan lab for creating them when most viruses were already here 4.5 billion years ago

But they were all blind, not knowing that it was our Intelligent Designer who created us, has also put this virus here to stay.

 

Even if they think this virus did not originate from another world which I know for sure, but from Wuhan or elsewhere on Earth, still it was the Intelligent Creator who gave these scientists a brilliant thinking brain how to create this virus on Earth and use it to destroy themselves so that at least one-third of the population will periodically be cut down to reduce over population at the expense of other life forms the Creator also have created. They too have the right to stay here.

 

What right has we to get rid of other species for us to claim this planet is only for humans? We are destroying everything at the expense of all other life created 4.5 billion years ago

Why do we need iodine, baricitinib, bevacizumab, chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin colchicine, favipiravi, Ivermectin, tocilizumab, dexamethasone,  remdesivir, and sorts of vaccines to “kill” this virus?

The Covid-19 virus too has the right to stay here with us on this planet
